I think he's just saying what he's expected to. I think he's a chameleon and changes color with whoever's in charge. When he's in charge he'll be a little more "white bread" and boring. Which is not to say he won't be bad---I think he will---but he has no charisma and will not be able to rally MAGAor get away with the egregious kind of crap the orange slime does.
