13. niyad has been a highly respected DUer since 2003.

You joined DU just last January, so you might not know that.

Niyad rarely posts about guns or gun control, afaik. She is interested in women's issues and other progressive ideals. If she says that she witnessed this incident I have no reason to doubt her.
