I’m fairly precise in my text messages, but I’m also 67 years old and set in my ways, so I rarely use texting shorthand and I always use punctuation and proper grammar. I also have young relatives that I regularly communicate with and my experience with their communication is that even among the highly educated among them, they do not follow the same conventions that I do, so there’s that.

Texting style aside, it just strains credulity that such a perfect “confession” like that would be made via a series of text exchanges in the heat of a manhunt. Now couple those two concepts together with the documented history of gaslighting and misinformation coming from the Trump regime, and their absolute co-opting of this event to frame it as a leftist agenda event in order to enrage their base, it just doesn’t pas the smell test in my opinion.
