Anyone who thinks this will result in any civil suit doesn’t understand the law. You would have to sue the individuals making the statements and you would have to get passed immunity that they were acting in their official capacity which will be (extremely) difficult. And Trump has further immunities the current SCOTUS gave him which are going to be impossible to defeat with the current SCOTUS as is.
