5. Depends...Americans aren't a monolith.

I figure 5% of the US population is mentally or emotionally disabled to accept him on face value and follow everything he dictates. That's a potential 20 million true believers committing lingering suicide by politics. Another 10% are cult-adjacent or identify with fellow-travelling cults to various degrees.

20% of the US population are cynics or nihilists will use his ravings over those 10% - 15% cultish followers and assorted cultish fellow travellers for their own profit. They may, or may not support the GOP or MAGA or other Nationalist/Isolationist cults; their primary objective is using "the system" to make profits.

30% -35% of the US population recognize him as a direct threat to themselves, their communities or the United States as a either a democracy or otherwise an environment they can thrive in.

And 20 -25% either are living in a private bubble or don't care/can't participate in US Democracy and have isolated themselves from everything outside their immediate concerns.
