"The Enemy Within: The McClellan Committee's Crusade Against Jimmy Hoffa and Corrupt Labor Unions was a 1960 book by Robert F. Kennedy. In it, Robert documented the influence of organized crime in the labor unions. In turn, labor unions exercised power in politics.
In 1960, Robert's brother John ran for president against VP Richard Nixon. People my age remember that Nixon's best friend was Charles Bebe Rebozo, a mobster with a businessman/banker legend. Years later, when Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox was investigating John Dean's testimony that Rebozo was Nixon's bag man, Nixon fired Cox.
We know that the convicted sex offender/felon always projects, so when he calls us the enemy within, he is describing himself.
Speaking of the felon
.. and the effort to prevent the release of the Epstein files
.. I still think that Rep. Jamie Raskin's saying that along with those documents, the part two of Jack Smith's report needs to be made public. Part one was released. We want to see if the classified documents the felon stole and hid at mar-a-lago included any relating to Epstein.
And finally, I do not want to disappoint anyone by not connecting today's reality to the sport of boxing. Now, I say this as an old man. When I was younger so much younger than today I boxed in a total of 329 bouts. I was pretty good, as evidenced by a European writer for a major boxing magazine doing a feature article on me when I was 13, which included 13 pictures of me knocking 13 opponents out.
I said that to say this: in every fight I had, I knew that when my opponent was hurt, he became most dangerous. That same rule applies here. Most fighters, when they hurt the opponent, try to end it immediately, by going for the head. Some of us wish that Democrats in DC would swing at the maga's head. It's a fuck of a lot better to go to the body, because it is mighty hard to defend one's self if you have the wind knocked out of you.
I could puke when I hear someone say the sky is falling. Now is not the time to get in touch with your inner Chicken Little. There is a lot going on at various levels of government, including in various states, to oppose the felon and Miller. And there is a lot of energy at the grass roots' level. That has hurt the felon, which is exactly why he is at his most dangerous. So, as I taught every amateur and professional fighter I trained, now that he is hurt, go to the body.
