(3,116 posts)deeper than that for me.
Some folks, and I include myself in that, were (and still are to some extent) a little angry at what the party did in abandoning Joe Biden, the candidate we chose.
I'm happy for President Biden in that now he can enjoy life the best he can without all the bullcrap. But it cost our country dearly and the peoples choice was rejected and over-ridden. I don't appreciate that.
This will be an unpopular statement, but in my opinion, Harris was not a suitable choice, especially since we overwhelmingly chose Biden. Her numbers were always unacceptable. I almost feel like we were sabotaged with all that happened because Joe Biden would likely have won.
I am certainly not anti-Harris by any stretch, but her numbers were just not viable. I'm not trying to rehash all of that bad blood yet again, but it's something we need to make sure we don't forget. Out personal picks may be great, but we are also at the mercy of other voters, like it or not, and we have to leverage that properly.
