Jane Goodall has Passed Away

75. She was a hero of mine and a reason I did wildlife rehab.

I’ve loved her since I was a kid. I think the thing she taught me most is that animals, even the most odd to us, are not that different. If you watch and respect their needs and what they communicate to you, it feels spiritual, connected to the earth and the essence of life itself.

I’ll miss her. But hearing she died of “natural causes” while on tour makes me smile. She deserved a kind departure.
