The headline takes this out of context.

I have as much concern about Fetterman as anybody. But that is not what he is saying here.

He said, if trump changes from being Putin's biggest suck-up to actually helping end this war with a favorable outcome for Ukraine, then Fetterman will be in front of that parade.

That is a backhanded way of saying, Trump will never deserve any of this.

It probably was not the best choice of words because people are on such a hair-trigger. But let's not condemn him in this case.
