16. Maybe it is because since the Sandy Hook massacre 160 people were killed by FIREARMS!!!

I could be wrong, but I belileve that is the entire issue. Let us not cloud it with stupidity like:
We kill more people with....wait for it....CARS!!!!why aren't we banning cars????

This is a huge deeply held personal belief to almost everyone. They either strongly support the 2nd Amendment, leave it alone buddy! no questions asked, or they want it repealed.

any distraction cheapens the lives of those senselessly murdered by, yes, firearms. Not cars, exploding gas cans, falling bridges...firearms.

It needs to be discussed and acted on.
