A MANAGER of a successful establishment is going to come out and blatantly say "we don't want you because you're black," knowing he would be sued if he said that?
I don't know a manager of a restaurant anywhere (and having grown up in the restaurant trade, having two brothers and a parent in the trade in three different metro areas in different parts of the US...I know a lot of restaurant managers.) who is going to say "We don't want your money" unless you give them a damned good reason to not want your money. The only color most restaurant managers see is green. Lots of green gets you a raise...or it gets you a job managing someplace with Michelin stars and that means more pay.
