I'm hypersensitive to narcissism in my life (from loved ones and their influence on me)... Plus, I also have a knee-jerk reaction to whenever someone says they "hate" someone or something. It's an unnecessarily over-the-top way of expressing something that is just an annoyance.
I live in NYC and I went out tonight and was thwarted by places that closed at 5PM... I was bothered, but really could only blame myself.

The one thing I dislike about Christmas: washing up all the dishes/silverware, and pots & pans :(

That's a good thing. It's not necessary for EVERYTHING to be open 24/7, 365 days a year.
