5. "Truffle pig" seems, at first glance, to be an appropriate epithet for Loomer. She certainly is a pig.

But not a truffle pig. Truffle pigs bring joy into the world with their ability to sniff out the sublime, and subterranean, fungus. Loomer has no ability to bring joy to anything. The closest she can get is the squalid, evil glee she and her supporters get from doing spectacularly awful things to other human beings.
