Because nothing Trump does is aboveboard. Everything he is associated with is "shady".
This "negotiation" is likely no different. He is a dishonest broker. Most people know that. His partner, Netanyahu, is also a shady character and should not be trusted.
Nothing is as it appears.
In my opinion, this is all a scheme dreamed up by Trump and Bibi to permit Israel to stop bombing the rubble in Gaza. In some way or other, it is a benefit to both of them.
