22. The Bible... especially the Old Testament...

is so full of contradictions and actual ideas taken from other Middle Eastern religions of those early days... most of those, Pagan. There are chapters, if you can find them in the original Aramaic, Hebrew, or Greek that say read nearly exactly to what the old Pagan texts of the time said. For many other verses, etc., words they didn't like were changed in mid sentence in such ways that it completely nullified what the chapter was talking about.

Interpretation is hard work... especially when you need to go back to some an archaic language to do it. And it's been shown one of the worst offenders of this misinformation is the King James Bible. And guess what's been most popular for decades? Americans, in particular, just aren't curious enough to really do their own research. Which is why the "Vertical Morality" is so easy for them to follow!
