...if god allows us free will, then god isn't going to punish anyone for keeping prayer out of school or anywhere else. That's their free choice and they'll presumably suffer for that choice by not being in god's grace.

On the other hand, if god does act when we do such things, punishing us for doing them, then isn't killing a bunch of kids a foolish way to get the message across? (wouldn't it be better for a gunman to walk into a church, shoot it up, and no one gets hit? thus proving if god is there one is defended?). god isn't there so kids die? By that logic, no church should have ever gone up in flames, been destroyed by storm or earthquake, and certainly no gunman should have ever been able to walk into one, let alone kill those in it.....

And most certainly no child who ever went to church and wore his/her cross to school ought to have been shot by anyone. They're carrying god with them, aren't they?

And I've never understood why anyone worships any god whose followers use such horrific and obscene scare tactics to get people to believe in him.
