An April 2025 study on upstate New York found that cryptomining raised electricity bills for the average household and small business by $88 and $168 per year, respectively.

Its time for our Governor to kick them out or apply a usage tax. Reminder most NY electricity comes south from the Niagara and other areas including Canada. Our delivery charges are outrageous.
