I have several friends who spent the winters in Arizona and they are choosing Mexico or other warm destinations but will not be coming back to the US.

Take a look at tourism in Las Vegas, Arizona and Florida also California and you will find tourism is down, it is just that Florida is just so fucking arrogant about it, so gets more attention.
