2. Why bother? Even if Soros did contribute to the protests it would have been no worse

than Trump hiring people off Craigslist to hold up signs at his rallies, which he did regularly. And it would have been perfectly legal to help people who wanted to exercise their First Amendment rights. The best response, though, is to point out that (a) if the rallies really were funded, why did we have to hand-make our own signs? They'd have been mass-produced, like they are at Trump rallies; and (b) 7 million people demonstrated for free because they wanted to. Most of us would have had to be paid a lot not to do it.
