magazines like Popular Mechanics and Family Handyman. One of those projects was a 10'x12' indoor/outdoor workshop. The cover story for Family Handyman in the 1980s. I also did power tool reviews. So I had a surplus of shop tools. In 1987, though, I switched to writing about PCs and software, and quit doing DIY stuff.

Other than my own projects, I wasn't using all that equipment any more. I donated most of it to local schools, and just kept my favorites. By the time we moved to MN, I just wasn't using them.
