Pharaoh Akhenaten was "removed from history" because his successors, starting with Tutankhamun, systematically tried to erase him and his monotheistic religion from existence after his death. They dismantled his temples, destroyed his images, and altered king lists to exclude his name, which is why he was forgotten for centuries.
