He's not the first politician to create an origin story. Pols have been doing it since George Washington allegedly confessed to cutting down the cherry tree. I also don't believe he's a crypto-NAZI, rapist apologist, racist, or homophobe. I do believe if he was MAGA and did and said the same things we would want his head on a platter. I also reject the notion that everything he did is guy stuff. I grew up in a working-class suburb, not one of my friends' parents wore a tie to work, i.e. they weren't professionals. I won't say all of us, but most of us, didn't do the stuff he's accused of.
