however, the other garden named after her, the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden (also known as the East Garden), was demolished to make way for a new ballroom in October 2025. The White House Rose Garden, which Jacqueline Kennedy redesigned in the 1960s, had its lawn replaced with stone tiles as part of a renovation in 2025, not paved over, but the demolition of the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden is a separate, recent event.
