I actually think we should have universal voter ID. We need to get this particular objection off the table. Whether it's authentic concern about real problems in the voting system, authentic paranoia about unreal problems, or just a cynical pretext for political mugging, we can't afford to let Republicans keep playing this card.

Leadership please! Cough, cough.
