3. Johnson: Pass the bill already before the Senate

Pass the bill as-is, without restoration of the ACA tax credits. The result is 100%++ increase in premiums for those that rely on them. Tens of millions will not be able to afford health insurance.

(My god! 7 years ago I underwent a procedure that retails for $500k, and I stay alive since then via a drug that costs, retail, $25k per month. If I didn’t have health insurance, I’d be dead now.)

But Johnson won’t reconvene the House until after the as-is continuing resolution is passed. Then — in 2 weeks? — they will pass their version of healthcare. (For someone like me, their healthcare probably means a grave for me.)

If I could, I’d migrate to a civilized social-democracy. Norway, Germany, the UK … somewhere where capitalist greed is not bleeding us to death.
