Which has always seemed strange to me. I first noticed it when I was about 12 years old and still going to Sunday school at the Presbyterian church in my little town. I asked questions about what I thought were odd behaviors when compared to the stories about Jesus. I was told that I was too young to understand.

Oh, I understood just fine. When I was about 18, I gave up Christianity for Lent one year. It is still the same. Preaching love for one's neighbors while driving them out of your town or nation just doesn't seem like what that religion is really about. Say what you will, but that's just how it is.
