and his political opponents rejoin in unison with "Distractions from Epstein!", the asshole smirks to himself thinking he has fooled everyone again. Rather, when Trump and his regime do unconstitutional, immoral, horrifying, undemocratic, murderous things, it's because that is who they ARE. It's what they do.

IOW, the reality is worse. Everything with the guy is about money, power and self-aggrandizing. He's not murdering people off the coast of Venezuela to "distract from Epstein". He's doing it because Venezuela is an "enemy", and Trump is a vengeful pathological narcissist. Targeting the mythical enemies he calls "Antifa"? Same thing. He LOVES jailing, he loves killing, he loves people starving, people being refused medical care, people going bankrupt, you name it. He's a textbook sociopath who relishes his power to cause suffering, and his actions reflect that affliction.

I also think Johnson isn't refusing to swear in Grijalva because of her potential Epstein vote. Instead, Orangina has ordered him to "see what happens" if she's NOT sworn in, in hopes of not swearing Democrats in (or at least delaying it) on the regular. A new version of what McConnell did with Obama/Garland. And when she is finally sworn in, one of the small group of GOPpers who's currently fronting like they would vote yes, will "magically" change their mind. So I'd bet he LIKES that we think her potential "deciding" Epstein vote is what it's "really about". Because the reality is worse than that.

Lastly, remember Epstein was largely off the radar until Bondi opened her mouth about "having the list", then turned around and said "NEVERMIND" a couple months later. Now he has half the population thinking every god-awful thing he brings up or starts doing is because he's afraid about the "Epstein Files". If he was going to get into deep shit over Epstein, it would've happened under Garland. It is not happening on his own watch. He knows that. Seems like a lot of folks on our side don't, for some reason.
