People use LLMs to format their resumes to tailor to job descriptions. Employers use LLMs to screen applications. There are fewer humans involved in the process. Plenty of opportunities for complete lies and inserting buzz words to try to slip through the filters.
One route you might look into is to connect with as many recruiters as you can. They tend to work with small companies who don't have the resources for in-house recruiting. There you would at least talk to humans.
Good luck. I've lost a lot of my coworkers this past year to layoffs.
