Luckily, my 89 year old aunt recovered in a short time. They told her she would never walk again after having a stroke. Then, at our family Christmas party, while we were posing for a family photo she yelled "hey" and jumped out of her wheelchair and started walking around with a cane. The whole family (about 100 of us) was cheering and clapping.
