11. We're heading out today to a local Christmas Tree Farm.

That actually grows them (mostly Norfolk Pine), along with working with other small farms in Northern California, Oregon, and Washington.
We're looking for an approximately 6 1/2' Noble Fir, preferably Natural.
Yes, it's expensive and frivolous. Yes, we don't need real tree - the destroyer of fake trees passed this summer, and we could just go with something a bit lighter, cheaper in the long run, and easier to deal with...but the smell. The ritual. The memories.
That's the only major shopping we've left to do anyway. Next major expense is shipping. We always try to get the holidays taken care of before September.
