20. No surprise that it's the main (flagship) campus -- the one where George Wallace blocked the doorway to a black student.

A couple of weeks after that event, a news photographer sent to cover the registration of the first black student at the UAHuntsville campus almost missed getting any footage at all, because the guy was in and out with no fuss. He went on to become a professional engineer -- i.e. things went they way they should go for anyone wanting to attend a state university, with no grandstanding political assholes in the way.

Sure, there are racist assholes throughout the state, but they tend to gravitate southward, which happens to be downhill as well.
