Abolitionist, Lincoln Republicans, Methodist. Great great grandfather died fighting for the north. I had black kids in my class at school and I was shocked to learn that some people thought they shouldn't have the same rights we did. We eventually morphed into Democrats as we saw what Republicans were becoming.
