2. Great post. As I see it, there are almost no budget gatekeepers. Each day it seems that

he's promising checks to various segments of society. Last evening, for instance, he said he's sending $1,776 checks to service members. Meanwhile, ICE and Border Patrol troop numbers have grown -- complete with $50,000 signing bonuses --and construction of detention camps. Then there's the East Wing demolition, all the gold embellishments, the bronze "nasty plaques" in his "Walk of Fame."

He states that donors are paying for some expenses (the ballroom) or they are "gifts" (the Qatari jet). But this man is a pathological liar. Who is following the money?

With inflation, the job losses and agency shut-downs, it seems we're paying more and getting less. He owes utility companies millions in FEMA reimbursements (some of it is funding allocated during Biden's term) for dozens of major storms. In lieu of those repayments, utility rates have increased. He says he's closing additional Social Security offices because he wants to eliminate in-person traffic. Millions are losing ACA subsidies just as tariffs are forcing small businesses to close.

Again, who is following the money? He's flooded the zone with chaos at the same time the House of Representatives (the appropriations arm of government) has cut the number of days it's in session -- and is led by a mouse that lives in Dump's pocket. Some days it feels we're being royally screwed.
