In simple terms, it means putting the best interests of people ahead of the best interests of corporations, whose interests seldom, if ever, coincide with those of the population at large. I've done business with corporatists for 60 years; I know what makes 'em tick.
The USSR gave socialism a bad name, but socialist concepts are at work every day in America; in fact, the nation could not survive without them.
Bernie is one of my senators; I've met him and spoken with him on a few occasions. Those that criticize him for not introducing as many bills as they think he should, forget what a senator's primary purpose is: He puts his constituents first, and I know this from direct personal experience.
