1. A few months ago I had the pleasure of

loading some equipment from a "warehouse" situation. I didn't pay much attention to anything other than my task but all of a sudden the most glorious organ fired up and was playing. I asked what it was about and the main fellow pointed out that above me on a mezzanine was the majority of the pipes and then he took me around a corner to a side wall and showed me the columns of bass pipes going from the floor to about 30 feet high.

The place was in the process of being converted to a small performing arts center and the organ was one he had insisted be a centerpiece. Really something even with the acoustics not being in final form.
