is to start from the assumption that any video you see on the Internet is fake. Then look for evidence that it is not fake.

The Internet is being flooded with AI video slop, and 2026 will be worse than 2025. In the past we could generally assume that if there was a video of something, it was likely true, because it was very difficult to fake video in a convincing way. That time is unfortunately over.
