But, my complaints are not with the Democratic Party and their lack of action.

It is with the population of the United States and their lack of action that upsets me.

We are the bottom line. Not the judicial branch, not the executive branch, not the legislative branch.

WE ARE.

And the fact that this regime is still there... well... that is not on Democrats in Congress.

That is on US.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.


I guess we do not feel that this regime has become destructive enough. I am worried that there are too many people who are making out very well and that do not want anything to change, even as vast parts of society have to suffer and die because of simple things that could be avoided. The 'elite' are not suffering, so that makes it all okay.

This also means that, unless something does change, we are going to just keep right on with the injustice and the inequity.

Which, I guess, is also preferable to these same people. I mean, why take this moment to try to fix some of the crap in our society when we can just be lazy and let things play out as they stand, and to hell with the percentage of the population that has to die because of it?

The only explanation that seems to fit is that we prefer it this way. Or, are too programmed to see it any differently.
