14. I have a different perspective

Not that you are wrong but I think its not so simple.

--Commerce between Germany/France and Russia had the potential of creating dependency but also moderating differences. This made sanctions more important with the invasion of Ukraine. Both countries are investing heavily in solar and targeting carbon neutral/non-dependence on oil.
--Biden was a catalyst in creating the alliance that supports Ukraine, but it appears that Europe is stepping up and contributing military and economic support on a large scale. Are they doing as much as they can/should? I'm not qualified to say.
--Brexit was a slight majority of UK that largely now regrets it, representing a similar population to Americans who voted for Trump.
--Leaders who oppose Trump in the US and abroad are making calculations how much to fight vs compromise. With the current power structure, it seems they lose either way. Trump is bent on destruction and will blame others regardless. There should never again be so much power in the hands of one man.
--The people who are spoiled and lazy are the oligarchs/billionaires in the US who think they benefit from colluding with Trump, the Republican Party without whom his rule would not be possible, and foreign dictators. I hope the day comes when they will have to pay.
