Although the choice of Venezuela was somewhat of a surprise, it was virtually guaranteed that Trump would start a new conflict as president, all you had to do was listen to him — or observe his conduct in his first term. And this war, for what it’s worth, promises to be even more of a farce than the war on which it is obviously modeled — the Iraq War.
