I switched to solar, (free installation and low monthly bill) and my PGE bill is so much lower. I don't know how large your home is or if you live in California, but I love living here. Gas is more costly, however there are some gas stations that charge less than others. I only fill up once a month. I use my woodburning stove for heat and buy one cord of wood a year for 400. If I get cold, I wear leggings, a cashmere sweater and a sweatshirt on top. I don't feel sorry for the people who live in the real cold areas of the US who voted for Trump. You voted for it and you voted to mess up our health care. FAFO.

Bill to pay now is $56.00. Buying new windows in 2025 made a big improvement in power use

Our electric bill was $80 more than it was at the same time last year with similar usage. It's nuts.
