2. The thought that that monster might instigate a World War III with our former allies AGAINST US

Yesterday

is something I don't know if I can bear to be alive to see. That may sound hyperbolic to some, but that is my biggest fear right now. I'm not sure I see any "Marvel Comics Hero" coming to save us--much less our run-of-the-mill political leaders.

Hope springs eternal, but it is damned hard to maintain.
