Venezuela receives 40 tons of medical supplies from Brazil [View all]

A first shipment of 40 tons (of 300 tons pledged in total) of donated medical supplies from Brazil arrived Friday night at Maiquetía airport, replacing inventory that was destroyed in the U.S. bombing of medical warehouses in La Guaira on January 3.

This shipment includes 110,000 treatment kits for hemodialysis, in addition to specialized medical supplies, dialyzers, catheters and solutions, to be used in the National Hemodialysis and Nephrology Program of Venezuela’s national public health system.

This is the fourth shipment received this week to replace the destroyed supplies and equipment.
