3. I wonder if the issue was less his Mormonism and more his political record

With the flip-flopping and Romneycare, etc. I'll bet those were more important to most voters than his latter day sainthood.

I'm sure the Mormon thing doesn't help, but I get the sense his biggest problem is his record.
