(60,798 posts)27. I was speaking of the House and have no idea who might
do that - and more than one is needed.
It might be the parties are too polarized and most of the Republican dissenters have been to the far right. The question is whether there is a moderate or even conservative Representative horrified by how far Trump has gone and how much chaos he is causing. It would need to be a very intense concern as any who switch would be immediately attacked.
