9. Yes, I remember so many young guys

who were a nervous wreck, afraid they'd get called up. It certainly was a huge motivation to protest, but now I wonder how many went beyond protesting to actually voting. I rather recall a cynical attitude about the process and the "establishment" overall.

Yes, it is alarming how little so many of our youngest know about history, government, and politics. Sometimes we witness a lot of youthful zeal minus a solid and informed foundation. Occasionally, I remind myself that many of them weren't even alive on 9/11 or were too young to know what was happening. Damn, I guess I got very old, very fast!
