(54,618 posts)We already had successful mass protests (the 3.5% rule).
Next step should be a nation wide boycott, they do work. Look at Jimmy Kimmel.
A General Strike in the USA at this time wouldn't be successful. We aren't unified enough and too many people need money due to tariffs and "affordability".
As far as a revolution goes...I would be proud to make my "last stand". I'm old, my health sucks and half of those I love are already dead so I do not give a shit about my life at this point (bye bye ACA health care). Of course the thought of literally dying for my country (MY country, not tRump's) has crossed my mind over the past 9 years. I must admit I was a little surprised to hear my sister day should would do it too about 7 years ago while we were having a holiday dinner. She was matter of fact about it like I am.
The interesting thing is that I am a pacifist!!!! I've never even seen a real gun. I'm only 5'1" and down to 85 pounds thanks to "tRump stress" but I am a fighter and I am super passionate on top of being a patriot. I lived in Center City Philadelphia and walked past the Liberty Bell when I walked to school or work. I was born on July 3rd (there was always a July 4th theme on my cake...sparklers, red, white and blue, the whole works). I love Yankee Doodle and the patriotic songs and parades every year.
This is MY country damn it and the fucking moron and his cult will have to kill me and it will be one hell of a fight. I am small but mighty!!!!
