... for people to stop taking Trump's malevolent machinations as separate and unrelated events, and see them as connected steps to a greater – and infinitely more monstrous – goal. Trump is a psychopath, and it is insanely irresponsible to dismiss his actions as "Oh, that's just Trump being Trump". I fuckin' HATE that phrase! And it excuses nothing.
Trump is hell-bent on world domination, and though he'll never succeed, he'll wreak as much havoc as he can, simply because he likes doing it. Move fast and break things. That's his motto. But his destructiveness reaches a fever pitch when people defy him. He's not used to that, and he responds predictably by doubling down. He's been a vicious bully his entire life, and he delights in threatening people that fail to ask, "How high?" on the way down, when he says JUMP!
Trump is the embodiment of pure, malignant evil, but he could never have gotten this far without the sometimes blatant, and sometimes tacit, support of Republicans, and when all is said and done, they will pay dearly for their treachery.
America is better than this. Or it used to be.
