(12,420 posts)Miller and his ilk do not care about the rule of law. They believe in the law of the jungle, survival of the fittest which is cray when you imagine a Miller or Trump actually in a jungle attempting to survive.
Of course, this is drawn from the God complex the world's billionaires have developed--those with gargantuan wealth are superior in all ways and have every right to exert their will on the chattel (that would be the rest of us). Manifest Destiny--the strong have a duty to conquer the weak.
If you take this to its bitter conclusion, yes they would control all resources, everything. As for the rest of humanity? Zip, nada, tough luck.
Think of the movie Elysium, a dystopian narrative in which the wealthy live and thrive on a space station while the earth and the rest of humanity withers beneath them.
Then think of Peter Thiel's idea of floating cities commanding the seas, towering cities where only the rich live and rule, and then like mythical gods conquer death.
Crazy? Yes. Cruel and depraved as well. These greed heads have lost their souls.
This is what we're fighting. The rise of monsters.
