The Secret Service came to this woman's door today because of a tweet.

10. Folks here need to take a breath. THis was secret service and he followed established procedures.

He did not try to enter her home (for which he WOULD need a signed judicial order) and when she refused to answer questions (some which I agree were inappropriate), he agreed that that was her right and let it go. He was professional. This is how secret service has followed up on questionable comments, phone calls, or social media posts (as I point out up top) for decades. Hers was not a threat--he quickly established that and let it go. He likewise advised her how to address threats SHE was receiving on social media in response to this post.

No one is more upset than me about this adminstration's pack of goons and their overwhelming violation of law and constitution. But, this, is a more routine issue, no matter how upsetting it might have been to that woman to have them show up at her home. Those who were here during Bush* administration would have recalled posts very similar to this, but SS does investigate grey zone posts such as this if enough complain. On social media that is a problem, but they did not threaten her, violate her rights, nor try to manipulate her in any way. That agent was professional. Those who saw the encounter through to its end would recognize that the homeowners were cordial and even thanked him upon his departure.

This wasn't an ICE/BP/TRUMP FBI or other issue (beyond the fact this woman undoubtedly was engaging with MAGA knowingly or not online). It just was not.
