If you make an honest offer or deal to the people of Denmark and Greenland. If they say no, then you walk away. You tried, no harm in that.
If you try to take it by force or threats or coercion, then it is a very bad idea.
I don’t think Fetterman made that distinction, though. I didn’t watch the clip, just read the title of the post.
